Dr. Madeline Meyer has over 20 years of experience as a Healthcare Administrator in high-level management positions. For more than 20 years, she has also worked as a Healthcare Consultant. Since 1990, she has taught as an adjunct instructor in the classroom and, since 2001, online. She is a subject matter expert and curriculum developer in Healthcare Administration, Community Health, and more recently, Public Health, Epidemiology, and Health Informatics courses.

Dr. Meyer holds a PhD in Public Health, specializing in Epidemiology with a focus on Health Informatics, from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN. She also earned an MBA from Nova Southeastern University School of Business, Tampa, FL, and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Nova Southeastern, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Her undergraduate degree is a B.A. in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University, Minneapolis, MN. Additionally, she is a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), having earned her certification from Lakeland Medical Academy, Minneapolis, MN. She attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing, a three-year diploma program in St. Louis, MO.

Dr. Meyer has earned several professional certifications, including Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) in 2000, AHIMA Certified Medical Coder-Physician (CCS-P), AHIMA Certified Medical Coder-Hospital (CCS), and AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC). She was also an AHIMA ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer and Ambassador from 2010 to 2015.

Dr. Mike Meyer is an experienced educator and former Program Director for Medical Office Administration (MOA), Medical Insurance, Billing and Coding (MIBC), and Medical Assisting (MA) programs at three national colleges. He is committed to advancing the careers of individuals entering the healthcare industry as allied health professionals. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Dr. Meyer has developed curriculum as a subject matter expert in medical administration, coding, health information management (HIM), and medical assisting programs.

Dr. Meyer is a Senior Healthcare Coding Consultant and has worked as a field auditor for both inpatient and outpatient medical facilities and insurance companies. Before becoming an educator and coding consultant, he was a board-certified family practice physician, having earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Ft. Worth, TX. Besides his DO, He holds certifications as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) through AHIMA and as a Certified Physician Coder (CPC). He has over ten years of experience as a licensed Professional Medical Coding Curriculum (PMCC) Instructor through the AAPC.

Throughout his career, Dr. Meyer has trained thousands of learners in medical coding, with the majority earning their CPC certification and/or specialty certifications from AAPC, or CCS-P and CCS from AHIMA. His professional memberships include the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), and the American Medical Association (AMA). He was an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM and PCS Certified Trainer and Ambassador from 2010 to 2016 during the transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10. Dr. Meyer is also a member of the AHIMA Professional Certification Approval Program (PCAP) Council.
